The relationship between you and your architect or designer as the way that you communicate will have a large impact on not only the way your house design, plans and everything turns out, but also your sanity.

Sometimes it can be really hard to communicate with people who have knowledge in a field that you do not. Imagine talking to a nuclear scientist about what he is currently working on. Chances are that you will have no idea what he is talking about and you trying to have input will be pointless. The point of this post is to make sure that this doesnt happen to you when you are talking with your draftsman.

As a design and drafting firm we work with house floor plans on a daily basis – it’s our business. But most home buyers only ever really look at them maybe 2 or 3 times in their life, so why should they be expected to know everything?
